Providence Cotton Mill Wedding
This wedding was a particularly special one for me.
I'm not a writer so this is going to be hard for me to explain but I'm going to try. Do you know those people in life that seem to be just outside your circle? They're there, in your day to day life, and it's a good thing, but not in a way that seems very significant. But then sometimes they circle in a little closer and you realize it was meant to happen that way all along. I know that's not a great explanation but that is about as good as I can do to describe how I came to know Nicole and Chris.
It's probably best to try to make a long story short since it started about ten years ago when Nicole and I worked together. I had recently moved to Asheville and thinking back I now realize how important it was that I had her positive influence at that time in my life.
Years passed, jobs changed, she moved, and then one day she sent me a message and said that she had known for a year and a half that she wanted me to photograph her wedding. She just needed to get engaged...but you know, details.
When I met Chris I got it. Immediately. Nicole's smile had always been there as long as I had known her but when she was with Chris it was somehow even brighter. Their engagement session was exactly the creative outlet I needed at the time. The dogs, the mountains, the laughs.
I had no idea what to expect from their wedding, especially since I had never been to the Providence Cotton Mill, but I had no doubt it was going to be nonstop fun. And it was. They had worked so hard to combine all the best ingredients in creating a wedding that was beautiful in it's simplicity and it all felt personal and fun. Their family and friends were integral to their wedding day and it was obvious that they couldn't be happier for Nicole and Chris.
Anyway, I'm starting to ramble so I'll just say thank you. Thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration and for being excited about my photography from start to finish. Your wedding was one of my all time favorites and I'm wishing you two all the best in your life together.
