imperfect
having just returned from vacation with my bag full of expensive camera equipment i stumbled upon this blog post (link removed) and can't agree more with the author's main point: sometimes perfect isn't so great. i'm not going to rewrite his post but i know that my favorite camera is still my Holga and my iPhone makes for a great stand in when i don't have the Holga with me.
anyway, there's a reason i still love my dusty vinyl more than my thousands of mp3s and i guess there's a reason why i love a terrible plastic camera more than my fancy new gear. despite my overall obsession with new tech and all of it's fancy buttons, widgets, and pixels i still find myself even more pleased with the flaws of the old.
